WHAT DO YOU LIKE ABOUT COFFEE?

That was one of the questions in the interview...it surprised me because is

an unexpected one. Nevertheless, the interview was in a coffee marketing

company. I meditated the answer and took note about it to share my thoughts with you

today:

4 The strong aroma that reveals the freshness of the product and reminds me

granny's kitchen: it made me to fell nostalgia for those days when the

family's old lady offered kindly a cup of coffee at any time of the day.

4 It's enjoyable in a hot or cold day for any social, family, intellectual

or religious activity, no matter it is formal or casual.

4 Noble liquid to take alone, with milk, cream or mix it with other drinks

and take it during the breakfast, lunch, dinner or snack time. Moreover, it's

the national beverage of Costa Rica.

4 Great ingredient: besides as beverage, it can be used as base ingredient

to do desserts, pastries, sauces, caramels, candies, ice creams, bakery, so on.

4 Nice, good and family tradition.

4 Supports the economy: all the coffee production and distribution involves

a labor, agricultural, business and market process that benefits every area.

After the interview, I wonder how much do we miss our coffee by been out of

the country. Fortunately, nowadays it can be bought throughout Internet! The

Costarrican coffee is one of the required elements in our luggage when it's time

to travel out of Costa Rica. Maybe, it's even the most precious item in the

suitcase.

My husband and I have been bringing Costarrican coffee as a present for

neighbors and friends during three years. They are always thankful and even

request it as Christmas present when we come back.

A cup of coffee is and will remain as the perfect excuse to share a gossip

with the neighbors, comfort people in mourning or any other bad moment of their

life, take a brake from the job, enjoy a delicious pastry, celebrate a baby or

bridal shower, talk serious business w/ somebody, read the newspaper, do any

work in the computer and a very special one...surf www.ticopage.com and "final

dot give me a coffee cup"
